Obituary For Ronald E Asheim
Ronald Eugene Asheim, 82, was born October 1, 1936 to Leonard and Rita (Coe) Asheim in Rapid City, South Dakota. He died June 15, 2019.
Ron graduated high school in 1954. He joined the US Navy on November 9, 1955 and was honorably discharged on October 8, 1959. He was so proud of his time in the service. In 1962 he went to work for Black Hills Power and Light as a lineman and retired in 1998 after 36 years.
In January of 1962, he married Carol Lantz, and to this union, a son and two daughters were born. Ron spent his free time fishing and was avid about this enjoyable and peaceful sport.
He is survived by his son, Randy (Melannie) Asheim of Phoenix, AZ daughter, Kelly Asheim (Andrew Atkins) of Casper; five grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and sister, Debra Lein of Scottsdale, AZ. Ron is also survived by his special kitty, Silema. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and infant daughter.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM, Friday, June 21, 2019 at Behrens-Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the funeral home. Following the service, Interment will be at Pine Lawn Memorial Park with full military honors.
