Obituary For Ronald E Schipporeit

Ronald Edward Schipporeit, 79, of Rapid City, passed away on March 19, 2022 at Avantara Arrowhead. Ronald was born March 21, 1942 in Rapid City, South Dakota to Edward and Alma (Koers) Schipporeit. Ron was confirmed in 1957 by Pastor Marquardt at Zion Lutheran Church, and he was a lifelong member. He graduated from Rapid City High School in 1962. Ron worked at Mills Drug Store and Safeway until 1964, and then he worked at Family Thrift Store for 37 years until his retirement in 2001. He worked at Enterprise Rental part-time for seven years until 2012. Ron loved collecting antiques and Native American memorabilia. He loved Black Hills history, cars, and driving to various events in the Black Hills, including the Sturgis Rally every year. He is survived by his sister, Karen (David) Liebl of Northfield, MN, two nephews, Michael (Michelle) Liebl of Prior Lake, MN and Scott (Amy) Liebl of Oronoco, MN; and one niece, Nancy (Jeff) Aarestad of Farmington, MN. Ron is also survived by six grand nieces and nephews. Additionally, Ron is survived by one stepsister, Miriam (Byron) Bailey of Kenosha, WI, and one stepbrother, Dan (Lila) Paschke of Rapid City, SD. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one stepsister, Diana Paschke of Rapid City, SD.
