Obituary For Ruth A. Huber

Ruth A. Huber born on April 19, 1958 in Clovis, New Mexico, to Billie and Mabel (Huntley) Wright. Ruth’s initials before she got married were spelled RAW and in reverse was WAR. Coming from a military family with 7 other brothers and sisters, she was strong-willed and knowing what she wanted was the foundation of who she was.

After marriage, in 1976, her initials became RAH and HAR. Which lead to a lot of laughs and good times. Ruth’s honeymoon was spent in the car, on a country road in Wyoming waking up to a cow licking the car window. For the first 24 years, she was both father and mother to the 4 children she brought into this world and nurtured, when Victor, her husband of 48 years, was deployed while serving in the Air Force.

Ruth never wanted for herself, always others first. Her passions were family, friends, camping, fishing, the farm, and gardening. She touched so many people and helped this world to be a much better place. You will be missed and loved by many. Our love, thoughts and prayers will always be present. Until the next adventure, when we are together again.

Ruth is survived by husband Victor L. Huber, daughters Emily (James) Bialota, Leeanna (Marco) Behr. Sons Johnathan Huber and Victor “Petey” Huber, Jr. Sisters Linda Oliver, Arkansas, Dorcas (Jeff) Hern, Rapid City. Brothers James Wright, Wyoming, Willard Wright, Arizona, William, Melvin, Kenneth Wright all of Rapid City.

She is preceded in death by her parents and grandsons Wilson and Braeden Huber.

The family would like to share some memories that are dear to their hearts:

Leeanna--

Mom,

Words can’t describe how much I miss you. How I feel like a piece is missing. Some of my fondest memories are of Halloween. We always went all out when I was younger. I remember asking you all the time if I could put makeup on your face. You always allowed me to. I am happy that I recently got to see you. I will miss our FaceTime calls and just hearing your voice. I wish we had just a little more time, but the time we did have, I will cherish. Till we see each other again, Mom. Love you now and always, your baby girl.

Victor Jr (Petey)--

When I would get home from work, Mom would sometimes be sitting on the couch. Together we would wait for Jeopardy to come on and try to be smarter than the daily contestants. Mom was always ready to try my new snacks, unless it had tapioca or black licorice in it. She would often show me her new puzzle or a cute animal she had seen and taken a picture.
