Scott Lee Mayer, 71, Rapid City, passed away on May 15, 2021. He was born in Tyndall, SD on August 12, 1949 to Reinhold and Maria Lynn Mayer. He graduated from Central High School, Rapid City in 1967. Scott entered the US Army April, 1969. He married Deborah on July 2, 1983. He worked for the Rapid City Area Schools at the warehouse for 30 years retiring on August 13, 2004. In October, 2004, he began working at Ace Hardware West from where he retired in 2016 after 12 years. Scott loved to hunt, bowl, travel and drive his 1968 Mustangs. He is survived by his wife, Deborah; 2 step children, Mike McTee, Rapid City, Kristin (Brian) mumper, Harvest, AL; 3 step grandsons, Aidan, Jaron, Soren all of Harvest, AL; a brother, Mark Mayer, Rapid City; father in law, Jesse Robertson and a sister in law, Victoria Kjerstad.
