Obituary For Sheral Ann LaCroix
Sheral Ann Ducheneaux LaCroix died on December 27, 2021 at home, at the age of 78, with her husband by her side. She was born on May 22, 1943 at Old Agency, SD to Fredrick and Josephine (Annie) LeBeau Ducheneaux. Sheral was the oldest daughter of 4 brothers and 5 sisters. Sheral held various jobs during her life as a dental assistant after high school with Indian Health Service. She went to Dallas TX with her first husband, Charles Peterson, Sr. in 1961. She then worked as a nurse’s aide at Parkland Hospital and Texas Instruments. She returned to Eagle Butte, SD in 1973 with her 5 children. She worked with TWEP, the Alcohol and Drug Program , Bureau of Indian Affairs/Education and Indian Health Service. Sheral remarried in 1978 to Noble LaCroix. They were together 43 years. Sheral and Noble raised 9 children, 2 daughters and 7 sons. Sheral is survived by daughters, Jolene Peterson, Peggy Clark, sons, Fredrick Peterson, James Peterson, Brian LaCroix, Bret LaCroix and Brad LaCroix, 31 grand children, many great grandchildren, 2 sisters, nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, her sons, Charles and Warren Peterson, granddaughter, PT, grandson , Tate and other extended family. Thank you MOM for all of your sacrifices, support and love!!
