Obituary For Steven L. Vashon

Steven Lawrence Vason, 66, of Box Elder, South Dakota passed away on December 30, 2024 at Monument Health Hospital from complications of diabetes.

He was born to Lawrence and Helga (Drumm) Vashon at Selfridge Air Force Base in Mount Clemens Michigan.

Steven was in the Air Force from October, 1977 and was given an honorary discharge when the Air Force could not honor his contract in June, 1978. He worked for the Air Force at A.R. P. C. Personnel for 31 years until having to retire in March 2015 for medical reasons.

Surviving Mr. Vashon are his son, Tyler of Box Elder, South Dakota and his daughter, Kassandra (Carson) Stephens of Ft. Collins, Colorado. His brother James Vashon of Aurora, Colorado and his sister Tammy (Chris) McNiell and nephew Dustin McNiell of Butler, Pennsylvania.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents.
