Sylvia Ann Schafer passed away at home in Rapid City, SD on February 13th, 2015.Sylvia was born in Lower Brule, SD on June 8, 1927 to Merrill andMadeline Karlen of Reliance, SD. Sylvia married Prentice Putnam ofBurlington, VT in 1946. In 1956 she married Kenneth Schafer in Valley City, ND.Sylvia was preceded in death by her son, Merrill Putnam and her husband, Kenneth Schafer.Sylvia is survived by her daughter Vida Mohan of Rapid City, SD; herdaughter Madeline (Steve) Olwin of Seattle, WA; her son Perry Schafer of Omaha, NE; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
