Obituary For Thomas James Habben
Thomas James Habben, 85, made his journey home on November 3, 2019. He will be remembered for his belief in hard work, and his tender, yet stern and loving heart. He was born on August 14, 1934 to Lena (Krogman) and Harvey Habben in New Underwood. He grew up and attended school and then got a job to help support his family. He entered the US Army in 1957 during the Korean War and ws honorably discharged in 1963. In 1962 he married Vesta Keeler and started his career at Church Sheet Metal, many years later retiring from Tessiers Sheet Metal. To this marriage were born Brenda Archambeau, Valerie Habben Cuny, Thomas Habben Jr and Marlena Habben. He has 20 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. In retirement he enjoyed working the land and spending time at the shop aka The Horse Shoe, with many an old friend. Thomas is also survived by one sister Marion Cannon of Washington. He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Clem, Buck and Bob, one sister Lillian, one grandson, one great granddaughter and a son-in-law. Heaven has gained one of the last true cowboys.
