Tim was born on March 18, 1947, in Mobridge, SD to Aaron and Florence (Kulm) Wahl and he grew up in Aberdeen, SD. He graduated from Central High School in Aberdeen in 1965. He served in the United States Air Force from 1965 to 1967 and was in Japan during his military service. He received a degree in accounting from Northern State College after the military. He worked as an accountant for multiple companies in several states and he retired from AIG Company in Boston MS and moved to Rapid City, SD, around 2011. He died of congestive heart failure on April 25, 2019 at the age of 72.

He is survived by his daughter, Monique \"Molly\"(Terry-partner of 22 years) Forkel of Stillwater,MN; four grandsons Luke, Milik, Miliano and Alfredo; one granddaughter Caia; his brother Lanny (Kathy) Wahl of Aberdeen, SD, and his sister, Sandra (Conrad) Perovich of Rapid City; also 3 nieces and 3 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Florence Wahl, as well as his ex-wife, Margaret Kinney.
