Obituary For Timothy \'Tim\' John McCraney

Timothy “Tim” “Papa” McCraney, 69, of Rapid City passed away with his family by his side in his home on Saturday, February 3, 2018. Tim was born Wednesday, October 6, 1948 in Waterloo Iowa to Robert (John) and Pauline McCraney.

Tim worked in the auto detail industry for most of his life producing incredible customized paint designs. Tim had a passion for classic autos and loved everything NASCAR, if there was a televised race “Papa” was surely watching. Tim’s greatest love though is family. Tim was a man of few words with a big heart for loving his wife Deb and his children.

Tim is survived by his beloved wife Deborah McCraney, his sister Teresa McCraney, 7 children, Sheila Garrigan and her husband Brooks, Denise Kennison and her husband Dave, John Tom Brown and his wife Dixie, Kelly Brown and her boyfriend Josh, Amber Solano and her husband Fred, Denver Kirby and his wife Dana, Dallas Kirby and his wife Tiffany. “Papa” is also survived by 18 grandchildren, Laci Fruit (Quinn) and her husband Cory, Justine Quinn, Brookelle Garrigan, Tyler Kennison, Trevor Kennison, Dakota Zaiser, Justin Zaiser, Brandyn Olandese, Tyler Solano and wife Shelby, Brandon Solano, Mercedes Solano, James Solano, John Solano, Bradley Stevens, Vivian Stevens, Dylan Allen, Jett Kirby, Landon Kirby, Cayden Davis and 2 great grandchildren Micah Fruit and Nolan Fruit. He is preceded in death by his father and mother Robert and Pauline McCraney.
