Obituary For Tyler J. Montgomery

Tyler James Montgomery, 30, of Rapid City, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2023.
Tyler was born on March 22, 1993, in Rapid City to Mary White and Michael Montgomery. He is a son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin, and a great friend. Tyler had a passion for life, love, family, and friends. One of the kindest souls you’ll ever meet. His personality was infectious, he really knew how to make you feel important, like you’ve been friends forever. Tyler loved music, art, fishing, camping, biking, frisbee golf, snowboarding, skateboarding, and traveling. He was full of adventure and would always take the opportunity to throw up his hammock. His passion for skateboarding and fishing started at a young age and followed him throughout his life. His friends will tell you that his ollie north had one-of-a-kind style.

As we grieve his transition to life everlasting three families are joyful for the gifts of life that he shared with those in need.

Grateful for having shared Tyler’s life are his mom, Mary; grandmothers, Joanne and Marilyn; brother, Kenny (Rebecca); sisters, Ashley (John), Kristy (Jared), and Renee (Joe); nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Michael; grandfathers, Clare and William; nephew, Noah; uncles, Jim and David; and friends, who we know greeted him with the biggest hugs upon being reunited.

The family wishes to extend their great appreciation to the outpouring of love, support, and kindness.
