Obituary For Wendy Louise Wolfe-Gluyas

Wendy Louise Wolfe Gluyas passed away on October 15, 2017. She was born on June 9, 1962 in Denver, CO to Marcia Hitch Whiting, Rapid City, SD and Robert D. Wolfe, Prescott, AZ. Wendy lived in Sterling and Thornton CO, and Thermopolis and Lander, WY. The family eventually moved to Hot Springs, SD where Wendy finished her education, second grade through high school in Hot Springs. She graduated in 1981. Wendy is the loving mother of two sons, Jonathan McNulty (Cammille) Peshtigo, WI, and Coleman McNulty (Kamrin), Hot Springs, SD. She has 6 grandchildren, Alyssa, Logan, Danica, Katie Jo, Grayson and Mason. Also very special to Wendy is her step-daughter Jade (Jared) and grandchildren Jaamis, Kierra and Camden. Wendy married Jimmy Dean Gluyas and March 31, 2005. They have lived in Custer, SD for several years.

Wendy had a soft, loving and generous heart. She lived close to the Hot Springs grandchildren and was a great help and support to that family. She loved all of her grandchildren and wished they all could have lived closer.

Wendy was also an animal lover. She particularly had a fondness for the wolf, and over a period of time had many mixed breed wolf pets. Wendy always had a cat, or two in her home as well.

Wendy spent many years in the grocery business as a bookkeeper. She last worked at Crazy Horse Monument. She really liked that job and enjoyed taking relatives and friends on tours of the facility and the monument.

Wendy is survived by her husband; sons, Jon and Cole; grandchildren; mother and father; brother, Paul Wolfe of Rapid City; mother in-law Iris Gluyas; sisters and brothers in-law; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; and cousins. She is preceded by her grandparents, Evan “Pat” Hitch and Laura “Louie” Hitch.
