Obituary For Wendy Mae Edwards

Wendy Mae Edwards, 53, passed away suddenly of a heart attack after a 4 month battle with Covid. She learned of her heart failure, kidney failure and liver failure. She was in and out of the hospital, in comas and struggling. She came home on Christmas Eve and spent her last month at home with her family, which is what she wanted. She was born on June 23, 1968 in Rapid City, SD to Jory Lee Edwards and Dena Edna (Eckstrom) Edwards. She graduated from Stevens High School in 1987 and started working. She was a dedicated worker for 29 years of her life and became a mother to 3 special children. Wendy is survived by her soul mate, Tim L. Strand, 52; her 3 children, Brandi Lynn (31), Misti Dawn (24), and Timothy Vinton (21); 2 grandchildren, Joseph UriJah-Lee (12) and Aubree James (6) and her only sister. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and her brother, Jory John, also known as J.J. and 2 “Angel babies” Aurora Jori and Baby E (Misti). Wendy was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She loved her children and she especially loved her role as “Grandma”. Joey and Aubree were her “best friends”, as she would say. She always made friends everywhere she went. She was kind and nice to everybody. She was goofy, silly and tried to have everyone laughing. Her motto was ”EVERYDAY IS A NEW DAY!” She will be missed and FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS!
