Bill was born to Margaret Pauline Cribbs on November 20, 1932 at home on his Grandparent's dairy farm in Indiana, Pennsylvania and was the eldest of four sons. After high school graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force and was a B-36 aircraft mechanic at Rapid City Army Air Base (Ellsworth AFB). While there he met Nadine L. Bill was heavily involved in Rapid City Youth Soccer in the late 70's and early 80's as a coach, a FIFA certified referee, and SD State Soccer Commissioner. Bill was an avid outdoorsman. He and Nadine loved to hunt, fish, cut timber, four wheel, boat and spend time at the family cabin in the Black Hills. Their children also share his love of the great outdoors. His closest friendships were those whom he hunted and fished with over the years and he was an annual hunting guide for friends coming in from out of state. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles in the Black Hills for many years. Bill will always be remembered as a wonderful husband, a great Dad and Grandpa, and a good friend. His kind nature, helpful hands, and bright smile will be missed beyond measure.
